Title

Storm Surge in the Penobscot Bay and River: Observations and Lessons Learned

Description

On September 26, 2021, the ABCD project and the Belfast Free Library hosted this Zoom presentation with Preston Spicer, PhD Candidate, Civil & Environmental Engineering, University of Maine.

Spicer presented observations about the effects of storm surge on the Penobscot Bay & River during 2 'Nor'easter' storms. We discussed the citizen science water level monitoring program which captured these storm surge observations, and heard interesting findings from each storm. This talk was presented in collaboration with the Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition.
