When I first moved here many years ago, there were no ticks. Now there are tons of ticks, and I've heard this is because of climate change with the ticks moving north. Tickborne diseases are very widespread and it's really scary.
I've had Lyme disease twice. The first time I got Lyme, I had no idea we even had deer ticks. I was really sick and I didn't know why.
