Spending some time internalizing that the climate crisis is impacting our farm in both more ways and more subtle ways than I anticipated. It is shallow breathing from wildfire smoke that has blown in from the West coast. It is the ten day forecast in the middle of summer with every high temp below the historic average after an unseasonably hot June. It is the unnerving feeling that crop planning and infrastructure adapting around seasonalities is going to be increasingly challenging.
