After a two-year delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Warming Sea - an exploration of hope in the face of climate change, commissioned by the Maine Science Festival and composed by Lucas Richman made its world premiere at the 2022 Maine Science Festival this past March. It was an extraordinary evening of Maine science and art, and while climate change rarely lends itself to joy, there was plenty of joy - and exploration and hope- present in the Collins Center of the Arts that evening.
